BIOGRAPHY

 

Jason Gaillard is a figurative artist living and working in New York City. Before attending Rhode Island School of Design, he attended the La Napoule summer program lead by prominent realist painters Jack Beal and his wife Sondra Freckelton. After graduating with a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, he lived in Milan, Italy where he began his career as a muralist and portrait painter. Jason then moved to New York City and continued to receive portrait and mural commissions and began a long collaboration with renowned muralist Richard Haas. It was at this time as well that Jason began being represented by the John Pence Gallery on the west coast. Jason has been commissioned by corporations, universities, celebrities, and prominent members of society and has exhibited around the country. He has been featured on the cover of American Artist Magazine and in several other publications.
